ProC-1S Dynamic Multi-Component Flue Gas Analysis System
- Mass resolution: 3500
Sensitivity: 10 ppb
Applications: Online analysis of cigarette combustion products and pyrolysis products from tobacco leaf, and per-cigarette analysis of tobacco smoke
The ProC-1S multi-component dynamic flue gas analysis system requires no flue gas collection or pre-treatment, no chromatographic separation, and exhibits no polarity discrimination; it offers superior comprehensive performance, including online/dynamic sampling and analysis, and high sensitivity. It is suitable for the online dynamic analysis of combustion and pyrolysis products from cigarette products.
Main applications: online dynamic analysis of mainstream smoke, online dynamic analysis of sidestream smoke, online dynamic analysis of environmental smoke, and online dynamic analysis of pyrolysis/oxidation products from tobacco products.
Product Features
Capable of performing online dynamic analysis of combustion, pyrolysis and oxidation products from cigarettes
Capable of analysing smoke products on a puff-by-puff basis
Enables the capture of unstable intermediate products from cigarette combustion, such as aldehydes, alkenes, ketones, sulphides and enols (reactor optional)
Can be used in conjunction with smoking simulators, thermogravimetry and infrared spectroscopy
No chromatographic separation required; no polarity discrimination
Simultaneous monitoring of multi-channel reactions via valve switching (valves optional)
Specialised database of cigarette smoke products
Online monitoring of products at fixed temperatures and during programmed temperature ramping

Application Examples
Monitoring of Mainstream Tobacco Smoke Products

No chromatographic separation required; information on the main components of mainstream smoke (hydrocarbons, nitrogen-, sulphur- and oxygen-containing compounds, etc.) can be obtained in real time within seconds
Monitoring of Cigarette Pyrolysis Products

Allows observation of the distribution and concentration differences of pyrolysis products at different pyrolysis temperatures (m/z=162 corresponds to nicotine)
Rapid analysis of chemical components in cigarette tobacco

Puff-by-puff analysis of cigarettes

Concentration changes in the products of each puff of heat-not-burn cigarettes (sampling interval: 2 seconds; products include acetaldehyde, crotonaldehyde and nicotine), enabling the concentration of the products of interest to be tracked as the number of puffs increases
Custom-made and other products
