ProC-2 Online time-of-flight mass spectrometer

ProC-2 Online time-of-flight mass spectrometer

Mass resolution: 2000
Sensitivity: 10 ppb
Applications: Chemistry and chemical engineering, cigarettes, tea and coffee roasting, fermentation, food industry (benchtop)

Product description

  • The ion source utilises a specialised photoionisation (PI) source, capable of ionising all components in ambient air (hydrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ozone, nitrogen oxides, sulphur-containing compounds, chlorine-containing compounds, hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.), thereby enabling the analysis of all airborne constituents in a single measurement

  • The ionisation process produces virtually no fragments, thereby enabling real-time analysis of the analytes directly without the need for chromatographic separation.

  • The use of high-transmission-efficiency ion lens technology significantly enhances the instrument’s sensitivity, enabling quantitative detection of analytes in ambient air at concentrations in the ppb range, with a wide dynamic range;

  • Utilising vertical ion introduction technology and a dual-field reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer as the mass analyser, high mass resolution is achieved, enabling the differentiation of isomers in the air.

  • An MCP detector is employed, providing a gain of 10⁶, effectively shielding against pulse interference signals and yielding a high signal-to-noise ratio

  • Fast analysis speed (sampling frequency of 30,000 Hz) enables the acquisition of mass spectra for all analytes (including unstable radicals) within seconds, as well as dynamic curves showing changes in analytes over time, thereby supporting the study of time-dependent kinetic processes.
